天官赐福 Tian Guan Ci Fu Season 1 Episode 6 [Vocabulary]

There is a phrase in Mandarin in Episode 6 of Tian Guan Ci Fu that has baffled me for a long time. It's the part where the Fu Yao tries to trick Hua Cheng into drinking the Truth Serum and Fu Yao says "You're a guest, you should drink first" and Hua Chen replies "你是从，辛苦了，你先请。" I couldn't figure out what the "你是从" meant and how it would justify for Fu Yao to drink first. It means that Fu Yao is a "follower", an official assistant of Xie Lian, therefore he has worked hard and should deserve to drink first.
