作死 zuòsǐ to court disaster

烙印 làoyìn to brand (cattle etc); brand; (fig.) to leave a lasting mark;

to stigmatize; mark; stamp; stigma



轻车熟路

qīng chē shúlù

lit. to drive a lightweight chariot on a familiar road (idiom); fig. to do something routinely and with ease; a walk in the park



狗胆包天 gǒu dǎn bāo tiān extremely daring (idiom); foolhardy

瞠目结舌 chēngmù jiéshé stupefied; flabbergasted



此地无银三百两


此地 cǐdì here; this place

无 wú not to have; no; none; not; to lack; un-; -less

银 yín silver; silver-colored; relating to money or currency

三百 sānbǎi three hundred

两 liǎng two; both; some; a few; tael



轻描淡写

qīng miáo dàn xiě

to sketch in light shades; to play down; to deemphasize (idiom)
